The Assignment: Joaquin is an embalmer who has recently accepted a deceased individual from the local hospital. According to the certificate of death, the cause of death was “Complications due to MRSA”, also known as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Joaquin knows that there is a chance of infection, but doesn’t know a lot about the disease.
1) What does the name of the infection tell Jaoquin about it? Hint: Focus on the last two words
2) What type of infection is this? (bacterial, viral, fungal etc.) How do you know?
3) Why would it be important for Joaquin to know this information? Provide your reasoning
